This is a Yamaha AEX520, a flat-top, bolt-on joint semi-acoustic model that was only available for a short time.

This short-lived model, which can be seen in the 2001 catalog, was designed for jazz/R&R with a mini humbucker in the AEX series, which also included archtop models and nylon string models. Figured Sycamore top/alder back, maple neck, rose fretboard, 2 x Alnico Mini humbuckers on PU, stop tailpiece with gold hardware.

Two knobs have been replaced, and the guitar shows signs of use (truss rod cover cracked on the lower right side, minor scratches on the head top and around the body, scuffs, play marks, picking marks, buckle marks, metal parts and screws are faded, cloudy, pitted, and other exterior damages).

The fret board has been set up (cleaning, string replacement, rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, fret shaping, and deburring) upon arrival, the fret board is high enough to play, and the truss rod is adjustable to +/- 60 degrees.

アーチトップモデルやナイロン弦モデルも取り揃えたAEXシリーズの中ではミニ・ハムバッカーを搭載したジャズ/R＆R向け、2001年カタログで確認できる短命モデル。フィギアド・シカモア・トップ/アルダー・バック、メイプル・ネック、ローズ指板、PUはAlnico Miniハムバッカーｘ2、ストップテイルピース仕様でゴールドハードウエアを採用しています。

ノブｘ2交換、使用感(トラスロッドカバー右下割れ、ヘッドトップやボディ周り小キズ、スレや弾きスジ、ピッキング痕、バックル痕、金属パーツやネジ類の色落ち・曇り・ピッツ、等々の外観ダメージ)が見られます。

入荷時にセットアップ(クリーニング・弦交換・ロッド調整・オクターブ調整・弦高調整・フレット整形・バリ取り)済み、フレット山は演奏に問題ない高さがあり、トラスロッドは締める方向・緩める方向調整可能で±60°まで動作確認済みです。
