This is a Ludwig 404, a classic Ludwig model that is considered a masterpiece of aluminum snare, which is estimated to be from the late 1970s based on the serial number.
This unit is likely to have been produced in 1978, as there is no serial on the B/O badge and the registered trademark "R" mark is present.

It boasts nearly 50 years of history and has a dry sustain produced by the seamless aluminum shell and a mild, mid-range focus.
The mild, midrange-focused tone creates a unique presence.
The 70's model is a popular generation with thinner hoops and a slightly milder tone than the current models, but still easy to use.

This unit appears to have had the hoop replaced with one from a different era (likely the 80s).
Also, a spring has been added to the switch to prevent it from loosening.

There are some pits and minor scratches on the parts commensurate with its age, but the shell condition is good enough considering its age.

The snappy is a current Raddick 18, and the head has been replaced with a current REMO one, but the tone is also good!

シリアルから1970年代後期のモデルと推測される、アルミスネアの名器と称されるLudwigの定番モデル、404。
こちらの個体はB/Oバッジにシリアルがなく登録商標の「R」マークがあることから、1978年に生産された個体である可能性が高いと思われます。

50年近い歴史を誇り、シームレスアルミシェルの生み出すドライなサステインと
マイルドでミッドレンジにフォーカスされたトーンが独特の存在感を生み出しています。
70年代のモデルはフープも薄めで、トーンも現行より若干マイルドながらも使いやすい人気の世代です。

こちらの個体はフープが別の時代のもの(80年代と見られる)に交換されていると見られます。
また、スイッチに緩み止めのバネが追加されています。

年式相応のパーツのピッツや細かいキズは散見されますが、シェルコンディションは年式を考慮すれば十分良好です。

スナッピー現行のラディックの18本のもの、ヘッドは現行のREMOの物に交換されてはいますが、音色も良好！
