Based on the flagship Starplayer model and featuring a stop tailpiece, this is the Duesenberg Starplayer Special.

Features include an alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, two Duesenberg original humbuckers, volume/tone (pull-coil tap) controls, a 3-way selector switch, a TMO bridge and stop tailpiece, a Schaller-compatible strap button, and a distinctive "D" plate on the body.

While featuring an orthodox style, this model boasts a wide range of sound variations thanks to its coil tap.

Signs of use are visible (including discoloration, scuffs, playing lines, picking marks, buckle marks, and cosmetic damage such as verdigris, tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws).

Set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and string height adjustment). The frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod can be adjusted in both directions (tightening and loosening) up to ±60°, which has been confirmed to be in good working order.
