The G6131G-MY-RB Limited Malcolm Young Signature Jet embodies the scorching rock ’n’ roll spirit of Malcolm Young, the groundbreaking rhythm guitarist of the legendary band AC/DC.

Nicknamed “The Beast,” this Vintage Firebird Red model recreates the original Firebird Red guitar that Malcolm cherished during AC/DC’s early performances, including the music video for “It’s a Long Way to the Top.”

It recreates the guitar’s original condition prior to Malcolm’s modifications and paint stripping, featuring a TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity Filter’Tron at the bridge and a TV Jones Starwood humbucker in the middle position.It features distinctive specifications such as a 3-position tone switch integrated into the pickup position toggle switch, aged pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays, a bone nut, a pin-mounted ebony-based harmonica-style Adjusto-Matic bridge, a ’60s Jet vibrato tailpiece, a black pickguard, G-Arrow control knobs, and aged gold hardware.

The standby switch wiring has been removed, the tuning pegs have been replaced with GOTOH locking pegs, and the strap pin position has been moved to the joint area (two original holes remain).It shows signs of use (paint damage on the top that looks as if it were sprayed with solvent; fabric marks on the overall finish from being stored in a case; minor scratches and scuffs; wear and wipe marks; picking marks; a glossy sheen on the back of the neck from playing, along with ring marks and rough spots in the finish; and tarnish and pitting on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage).

Set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and action adjustment); the frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod has been tested to 60 degrees in both directions and is in good working order.
