USED GRETSCH / 60s #4103 Renown 14×5.5 Gretsch Renown Snare Drum [08]

A Renown snare drum from the 1960s.

Part of Gretsch’s mid-range series from that era, it features a 6-ply wood shell and boasts the brand’s signature tight, dry sound, enhanced by a distinctive, aged vintage tone.
Its warm, aged character, distinct from current models, is truly one-of-a-kind!

This particular drum has had its covering stripped and has been sanded down, custom-finished to a natural look reminiscent of Charlie Watts.

It shows signs of age appropriate for its era, including some wear on the hardware and pitting.
The snare wire has been replaced with a Kanopus model, but the tone itself is excellent—a rich yet crisp sound that’s quintessentially Gretsch.
This is a vintage snare drum that is becoming increasingly rare!
