Based on the "ECHOREC2・T7E" and "PE-603"—the Binson Echorec models most renowned for their sound—this ambitious creation uses a digital processor to capture that signature tone!
It reproduces the sound of a well-maintained ECHOREC without overdoing the vintage vibe, so while the controls are simple, it allows for sound shaping that meets the demands of even the most discerning enthusiasts.

Controls include
・Volume (Echo Volume)
・BASS/TREBLE (Echo EQ)
・LEVEL INDICATOR (reacts to input signal)
・SWELL (Repeat depth/Feedback)
・DRUM SPEED (delay time)
・DRUM AGE (Controls the sense of deterioration in the memory disk)
・I.CTRL (Input level; no echo sound is produced at the zero position)

The switches are:
・SWELL/REPEAT switch (Simple echo mode when the LED is off; SWELL mode when the LED is on, which arranges the echo feedback in a reverb-like manner)
・ON/OFF switch

The four switches in the center of the unit replicate the ON/OFF function of the "PE-603" recording head, controlling the ON/OFF of the four delay sounds (which replicate the playback head).
The buttons are designed so that the delay time increases from 1 to 4; for example, if you turn on switches 1, 3, and 4, it produces a rhythmic echo like “tan-ta-tan”!

The DRUM AGE is a very niche adjuster that simulates the degradation of the rotating magnetic disk (memory system).
Turning it fully clockwise provides a setting closest to a brand-new Binson Echorec, while setting it around the 12 o’clock position yields the characteristic Binson-style modulation.
Conversely, turning it all the way counterclockwise produces high-frequency loss caused by disk degradation and an echo sound with excessive modulation.

The I.C. control adjusts the echo input level; setting this gain high introduces distortion to the echo sound, allowing you to reproduce the mellow, soft tone characteristic of vintage equipment.

Additionally, the pedal features DIP switches inside the unit for input signal trim, true bypass/active bypass selection, and switching between vintage and modern echo sounds.
