It features a combination of press hoops—a thicker top hoop and a thinner bottom hoop.
It features a 9-ply beech shell, characterized by the slightly dark, unique warmth and clear, penetrating tone that is characteristic of beech.

It boasts exceptional projection and a rich dynamic range, as well as a surprisingly quick and delicate response despite its deep shell, combined with a light and nimble feel.
With the versatility to handle everything from classical music to live performances and recording, it is truly a masterpiece worthy of being called a legendary instrument.

It features rosewood veneer—which remains highly popular to this day—and boasts a luxurious design with rosewood lining on the inside as well!

There are some scratches and stains consistent with its age, some play in the strainer lever, and an area near the snare bed where adhesive appears to have hardened on the edge (likely a repair?), but there are no issues with the sound or tuning, and it is still fully playable.
