This is a 1967 Rickenbacker 950 "Tulip Fireglow."

Produced from around 1957 to 1969, the Model 950 is based on the Combo 400. It features a maple through-neck construction, a compact maple body, a lacquered rosewood fingerboard, and two Toaster Top pickups,2 Volume/2 Tone/3-way selector (Rear Volume/Tone Pot Date: 137 6726 x 2, Front Volume Pot Date: 137 6640, Front Tone Pot Date: 137 67**). The top-loading bridge features aluminum saddles, and the large pickguard and white-button tuners are particularly striking.

This compact, short-scale model is a standout instrument with a distinctive and memorable tone.

It shows signs of wear commensurate with its age (faded finish, peeling paint on the truss rod cover screws, minor scratches, scuffs, and peeling paint around the headstock and outer edges, scuffs, playing lines, picking marks, buckle marks, tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, and other cosmetic damage).

It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and action adjustment). The frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod has been tested to move smoothly from 60° to 60° in both directions and is in good working order.
