USED Tokai / Silver Star SS-40 YS (Yellow Sunburst/Maple Fingerboard) [3.63 kg/Manufactured in 1981]

A Tokai large-headstock, '70s-style model that is highly regarded even overseas. This is the Tokai SS Series SS-40, manufactured in 1981.

This model features a beautiful yellow sunburst finish, a SEN WOOD body, a one-piece maple neck with a modern U-shaped grip, a three-point joint with a micro-tilt function and a bullet-style truss rod cap, Tokai’s own F-key tuners, three Tokai Original single-coil pickups, and a 5-way selector switch.

A 70s-style model with a distinctive look, this guitar’s appeal lies in the clear, well-defined sound of its SEN WOOD.

Signs of use are visible (sun fading, paint chips around the joint and outer edges, minor scratches and scuffs, wear marks and wipe marks, picking marks, buckle marks, tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, etc.).

It was set up (cleaned and restrung) upon arrival; the frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod has been checked to move smoothly from 60° to either side and is in good working order.
