USED Takamine / TN-520BS Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi Model [Manufactured in 2002]

The “Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi Signature Model,” a legendary instrument also used during the iconic Sakurajima concert.

This is the Takamine TN-520BS. It is an officially licensed signature model for Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi, produced on a made-to-order basis exclusively for fan club members in 2002. Customized to meet the artist’s meticulous requests—from the selection of materials to the spacing between the strings—it features a “Tsuyoshi.N” inlay shining at the 12th fret.It features a solid spruce top, mahogany sides and back, a mahogany neck, an ebony fingerboard and bridge, and is equipped with a PTU (CT-4B) preamp with built-in tuners.

This limited-edition model has garnered significant attention both domestically and internationally; its sound is unmistakably “that sound,” and its high playability and wide range of tonal variations are also major attractions.

There are signs of wear (the headstock and body show overall clouding; there is an impact mark on the top near the 6th string, along with minor scratches, scuffs, wear marks, picking marks, and tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage).

It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, and fret leveling). The naturally narrow fret tops have been lowered through leveling but remain at a height that poses no issues for playing. The truss rod can be adjusted in both directions and has been tested to operate within a range of ±60°.

Condition Grade: B+: Some scratches are present, but the instrument is suitable for normal use.
