The American Deluxe series, introduced in 1998, incorporates modern specifications. It features an alder body, a maple neck, a rosewood fingerboard, three Vintage Noiseless Strat pickups, volume and front tone controls, center and rear tone controls, a two-point tremolo system, and locking tuners.

As an early-spec model of the American Deluxe series, it boasts luxurious details such as the silver logo on the headstock and Avalon dot inlays.

The strap pins have been replaced, and there are signs of general wear (discoloration, minor scratches and scuffs, scuff marks, playing marks, picking marks, buckle marks, tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage).

It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and action adjustment). The frets are at a height that poses no issues for playing, and the truss rod can be adjusted in both directions; its operation has been verified up to ±60°.
