USED Gibson USA / SG Standard Ebony [3.01 kg / Manufactured in 2007]

This 2007 Gibson SG Standard features a Gibson 57 Classic rear pickup and a large pickguard.

It features a mahogany body, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard with dish inlays, as well as nut-mounted Kluson tuners and a 490R pickup in the front position.

The large-pickguard SG, which rivals the 1961-style small-pickguard model in popularity, is known for its lightweight, easy-to-handle design and a sound characterized by its midrange richness.

The rear pickup, nut, and strap pins have been replaced; a “104” capacitor has been installed (as with other full-range capacitors, when the volume is rolled back, the effect extends not only to the high frequencies but also to the midrange, resulting in a stronger effect); the bridge has been replaced with a TONE PROS TP6R; and there are traces of a Bigsby B7 having been mounted at the body end (peeling paint on the lower edge of the body and four screw holes).

Signs of wear are visible (chipped paint on the elbow area; minor scratches, scuffs, playing marks, and picking marks around the headstock and along the outer edge of the body; and tarnish and pitting on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage).

Set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and action adjustment); the fret heights are at a level suitable for playing, and the truss rod has been tested to 60° in both directions and is in good working order.
