USED Roland / R-8 mkII "HUMAN RHYTHM COMPOSER" [09]

The Roland “R-8 mkII,” released in 1992, as the “mk?” designation suggests,
an upgraded version of the “R-8” drum machine—which debuted three years earlier and featured a sampling frequency of 44.1 kHz and 16-bit
dynamic range.

It increased the number of sounds to 200—three times that of the “R-8”—and doubled the number of program patterns to
200 patterns.
It dramatically alters the sound’s character based on strike location and shot intensity,
nuances and
in-nuance sound variations based on feel parameters—which create drumming that comes incredibly close to the sound of a humanplayer—have been carried over from the “R-8.”
In addition to left and right stereo outputs, it is equipped with 8 multi-
out jacks so that each sound can be output separately.

At the time, the “SN-RS Series” sound library was also available as a separate purchase
, allowing for further expansion of the sound palette.

Notes: There is a dent on the left side and some fine scratches and slight dirt on the surface, but
it has been fully serviced, including battery replacement, initialization, repair of a chipped area on the casing, replacement of the rubber feet, and a functional check.
