Named “Live or Die” by Mr. Takasaki, this unit offers everything from the ultimate high-gain sound to crunch—and allows for extremely flexible tone shaping.
As with all Cat’s FACTORY effects pedals, it’s generously equipped with audio-grade components, so when you crank it up to full volume, the difference in quality is simply unmatched…!
First off, even when driven hard, the sound doesn’t lose definition across the frequency spectrum—it delivers an amp-like distorted tone!
Unlike many pedals where turning the LOW knob up too high causes the sound to lose clarity, even if you set the LOW a bit higher, the sound doesn’t get muddy—it delivers the ideal deep bass response.

The control panel features six knobs—"Gain," "Volume," "Treble," "Bass," "Presence," and "Tight"—making it very intuitive to shape your sound.
The “Tight” knob functions as an EQ for the low-mid to mid-range frequencies. With the 12 o’clock position as the reference, turning it to the left produces a boomy, thick sound, while turning it to the right reduces gain and low frequencies, resulting in a tight, focused sound.
It serves to tighten the overall sound image, enabling a wider range of sound shaping possibilities!

Externally, there are scattered minor scratches and dirt from normal use, but there are no functional issues.
