USED Fender USA / American Vintage 62 stratocaster 3 Color Sunburst 1992 [10]

A 1992, also known as a 62 Vinsto, is now in stock!

The body is Alder and the neck is Maple with rosewood fingerboard. Fretboard surface is 7.25", fret size is slim vintage type with vintage feel. The finish is lacquer to allow for aging and ringing. The nut and frets have been replaced, and the front PU has been replaced with a DiMaggio DP407 and the rear PU with a DP409. The selector has also been replaced with a 5-way selector, allowing for a halftone output. The back panel is missing. Neck date is 91, body date is 92, and vol pot date is not visible but is original. Each tone pot is also dated 92 and is determined to be 1992.

The body has wipe scratches, scuffs, line scratches, dings, and peeling paint. The pickguard has some minor picking scratches and is tarnished. There are small dents and paint peeling around the perimeter of the body, especially at the bottom, and there is a line scratch on the lower left side of the bridge. The upper right, lower right, and lower left parts of the body have rough paint reactions with the case lining, and the area around the body end strap pins has stand burning, large and small dents, and peeling paint. There is also a pea-sized ding on the lower right side of the body. The back of the body has some paint peeling from a large buckle, and there are small and large dents and paint peeling mainly around the lower perimeter. There is paint peeling around the neck joint plate due to tightening. There are dots of dents the size of a grain of rice in the center of the 5th floor on the back of the neck, and a sesame-sized peel of paint on the 3rd string of the 1st floor. There is a pea-sized ding on the lower left side of the back of the head, and the tip of the head has peeling paint and a toe-shaped ding. There is clear peeling on both sides of the fingerboard fretboard, mainly in the high position, but there are no playability issues. There are no noticeable signs of use on any hardware, but the bridge saddle area has probably been replaced.

The neck condition is fine, and the truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen. There are no string marks on the frets, and about 60-70% of the strings are left. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 6th string (12F) and about 1.5mm on the 1st string (12F).

The PU has been replaced as it should have been in those days. Paint peeling seen throughout is cool and nice! It would be great to dress up the plastic parts and install your favorite PU!
