D'Aquisto trained under master guitarist John Di Angelico from 1952, and took over the workshop in 1965 after Di Angelico's death. He took over the workshop in 1965 after Di Angelico's death, and created many unique guitars by adding his own ideas to the ones he inherited from Di Angelico. This is a series made in Japan, ordered by the Japanese distributor at that time. Usually, the serial number can be found on the label inside the body, but this one may have been peeled off or is currently missing, but it is believed to be from the 2000's. The body size is 17 inches, which is what is called a "175" or larger body.

The body size is 17 inches, one size larger than 175, which is the same size as L-5CES. The body top is carved from solid Sitka spruce. Sides and back are figured maple plywood. Neck is figured maple. Fingerboard surface is ebony with 25.5" scale. Nut width is about 43mm, and the neck shape is thinner overall, making it suitable for any player. The original floating PU is installed and controlled by the Vol and Tone knobs mounted on the pickguard. Currently, both knobs have been replaced with another slender type, and each Pot is also thought to have been replaced as they are the type with a center click.

The body is generally scratched and there are a few small dents on the lower left side of the top of the body. There are also some faint scratches around the bridge, which are caused by the movement of the bridge. There is a faint line scratch on the lower right side of the body back. All hardware is in relatively good condition with some chipping of the plating.

The neck is in good condition. The truss rod can be adjusted in the direction to tighten or loosen, and can still be turned to tighten and adjust. There are no noticeable string marks on the frets, and about 80% of the frets are left. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 1.5mm on the 1st string side.

Overall, minor damages are not so noticeable due to its coloring. It is in good condition considering its age with little signs of use. The acoustic sound with a three-dimensional feel is a masterpiece! The hard case is not included, but a Nasca gig bag is included. Made in Japan, this guitar is of high quality at a reasonable price, and is a great choice for beginning jazz guitarists and young players!
