1964 0-16NY with slotted head and size 0 in stock!

So-called "New Yorker" with 12F joint, body size and slotted head produced since 1961!
The body size is a small "0" size, about 5mm thicker than a 00 or 000, which gives the guitar sufficient volume and flavor. Spruce top with mahogany sides and back. The mahogany neck is 632mm in scale with a nut width of 47.7mm, which gives the neck shape a wide width, and the 12F joint and the thickness of the body give the guitar enough low frequency range. It also features a matte finish. The nut, saddle, frets, and pegs have been replaced.

There is paint peeling on the lower right side of the sound hole due to picking, and the area around the peeling area is shiny due to use. The body has scratches, dings, and paint peeling, but is in relatively good condition considering its age. There are no cracks, so there is no over-lacquer, which is common. There is a slight bulge at the bottom of the bridge, but it is minor and not a problem. The back of the neck is also shiny from use. There are slight finger marks on the fingerboard surface in the low position.

The neck is in good condition and the truss rod is SQ, so it is not adjustable. There are no noticeable string marks on the frets, and there is about 60-70% remaining. The current string height is about 3.0mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 2.5mm on the 1st string side. The saddle height is low and there is not much room for adjustment here.

Overall, the guitar is in relatively good condition considering its age, although there are some signs of use. There is no deformation of the top, no crack repair and no over-lacquer. The string height is OK as it is a 12F joint model! The strings are not compound strings, but normal acoustic strings. Although the nut width is a little wide, the slotted head and 12F joints give it a more than sufficient sound, and the low frequency range, which is a concern, is also strong, so this model is not to be underestimated! This is one you should definitely try!

1961年から生産された12Fジョイントとボディサイズ、スロテッドヘッドが特徴のいわゆるニューヨーカー!
ボディサイズは小ぶりな『0』サイズ。00や000よりも約5mmほどボディ厚があり十分な音量感と味わいを聞かせてくれます。スプルーストップにマホガニーサイド&バック仕様。ネックはマホガニーで、スケールは約632mm、ナット幅は約47.7mm。そのナット幅でネックシェイプはしっかり幅広さを感じさせてくれ、12Fジョイントやそのボディ厚も相まって十分な低域を感じさせてくれます。またつや消し塗装が特徴です。ナット&サドル&フレット、ペグが交換されております。

サウンドホール右下にはピッキングによる塗装剥がれがあり、その周辺には使用によりテカリが発生しております。ボディには全体的にスリキズ、打痕や、塗装剥がれがあるものの年式を考えると比較的良好なコンディションです。クラックはないのでありがちなオーバーラッカーもありません。ブリッジ下部に少しだけ膨らみはあるものの軽微で問題ありません。ネック裏にも使用によりテカリがあります。指板面ローポジションにはわずかに指跡があります。

ネックコンディションは問題なく、トラスロッドはSQなので調整できないタイプです。フレットには目立つ弦痕等はなく、残り6-7割程です。現状弦高は12F6弦側で約3.0mm、1弦側で約2.5mmで調整されております。サドルの高さは少なくここでの調整幅あまりありません。

全体的には使用感等ありますが年式を考えると比較的良好なコンディションです。トップのありがちな変形や、クラック修復とそれに伴うオーバーラッカーはなく久々の良個体。弦高は12FジョイントモデルなのでこれでもOK!ローポジションで爪弾いてください!現状コンパウンド弦ではなく、通常のアコースティック弦が張られております。ナット幅は少々あるものの、スロテッドヘッドに12Fジョイントも相まって十二分な鳴りがあり、心配される低域もしっかりあるのでこのモデル侮れません!是非ともお試し頂きたい一本です!
