We are pleased to announce the arrival of a 2023 Fender Custom Shop Vintage Custom 1959 Stratocaster.
The color is Wide Black Faded 3TS, which expresses a color with a hint of redness that tends to fade away with a strong assertion of the black burst area.

The distinctive specs are based on the vintage Stratocaster 1959 type (8-point pickguard, slab rosewood fingerboard, etc.), with a compound radius (7.25"? The new Stratocaster is a modern vintage Stratocaster model made by the Custom Shop, which is the ultimate fusion of playability and detail, with a 9.50"), Flashcoat lacquer finish (ultra-thin lacquer coating) and Custom Shop hand-wound 59 Strat pickups. The fingerboard is 3.5" in diameter. (Fingerboard is 3A rosewood, fretwire is Narrowtor 6105, etc.)
The finish specs of the body are NOS (New Old Stock), but the details of each installed parts are a fusion of CC (Closet Classic) and NOS. (See the order spec sheet).
The neck grip is molded in 59 Esquire "C", so it is easy to grip in the low grip direction and easy to grip around the 12th fret. (Nut Width: less than 42mm, Thickness: approx. 20.1mm/1F, approx. 24.8mm/12F)

Appearance Condition
There are several large and small paint cracks on the surface of the body top and back vertically, which may be caused by the flashcoat lacquer finish without buffing process due to the nature of the ultra-thin paint film. The atmosphere is unforgettable.
Most of the hardware is CC detail, so the plating is dull and scratches have occurred, but the wood of the body is in near perfect condition with no noticeable striking scratches, so it has a beautiful, dark, almost unplayed clean feel.

カラーは黒のバースト部位を力強く主張して褪色しやすい赤みをほのかに感じさせる色彩に表現したワイド・ブラック・フェイデッド3トーン・サンバースト(Wide Black Faded 3TS)です。

特徴的なスペックはビンテージ・ストラトキャスターの1959年タイプ(8点止めピックガードやスラブ・ローズウッドのフィンガーボードなど)を基礎にコンパウンド・ラディウス(7.25" ? 9.50")やフラッシュコート・ラッカーフィニッシュ(極薄のラッカー塗装)とカスタムショップ・ハンドワウンド59ストラト・ピックアップの採用など、プレイアビリティとディテールの融合を極めるカスタムショップ製のモダンなビンテージ・ストラトキャスター・モデルでございます。(フィンガーボードは3Aのローズウッド、フレットワイヤーはナロートールの6105などを採用)
本体のフィニッシュ・スペックはNOS(ニュー・オールド・ストック)でございますが、搭載パーツごとにCC(クローゼット・クラシック)とNOSが融合するディテールですよ。(オーダースペックシート参照)
ネックグリップは59 Esquire "C"で成型されていますのでロー・グリップ方向は掴みやすく、12フレット付近では握り込みやすい事情通の玄人が好むタイプかもしれません。(Nut Width: 42mm未満、Thickness: 約20.1mm/1F、約24.8mm/12F)

外観コンディション
極薄塗膜の性質上からバフ工程を行わないフラッシュコート・ラッカーフィニッシュが要因なのか、ボディ・トップやバックの表面に複数本で大小の塗膜クラックが縦方向に発生していますが、ビンテージギターのNCラッカー塗膜に自然なダメージが加わり始めたような雰囲気が堪りません。
ハードウェア類の大半はCCディテールなのでメッキにくすみやスリキズの発生がございますが、本体の木部には目立つ打ちキズが皆無に近いコンディションなので、ほぼ未プレイに近い清潔感が濃くて美しいですよ。
