Made in 2021, Gibson Custom Shop is pleased to announce the arrival of a 1959 ES-355 Reissue with Ebony finish and Bigsby B7!

As a higher-end model of the ES-335, it features gorgeous appointments such as Les Paul Custom-like multi-binding, split diamond headstock inlays, mother-of-pearl block inlays, and gold hardware.
The semi-hollowbody is maple/poplar/poplar with a maple center block inserted, 1P mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, and 50s Rounded Medium C neck shape is slim and easy to grip.
As with the rest of the Historic Collection, the pickups are unpotted Custom Buckers with Alnico 3 magnets, which faithfully reproduce the delicate picking nuances and dynamics of the player's playing.

As for the exterior, there are some scratches and dings, and the paint around the binding is peeling. However, the VOS finish does not give a bad impression. The hardware is dull and the chrome is peeling, but there are no operational problems.
The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen. The frets have been fully worn, and there are no noticeable string marks, with about 80% remaining. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 1.5mm on the 1st string side.
