The Fender Japan MG66-66 Vintage White has arrived.
The Mustang is highly popular for its compact body and short scale. This model faithfully reproduces details characteristic of mid-1960s Mustangs, such as a non-contoured body shape, white-knob Kluson-style tuners, and a headstock logo without a patent number. Combining a 610mm short scale with 22 frets, it offers the Mustang’s signature light, responsive playability and excellent maneuverability—one of its key attractions.
Slide switches for each pickup allow you to access not only the standard single-coil sound but also the unique “out-of-phase” tone. Many players are likely drawn to these mechanical features. The crisp attack, lively resonance, and slightly quirky character are delightful, creating a distinctive sound that pairs well with everything from chord work and arpeggios to the rough, raw playing style of garage and alternative rock.
The soft, gentle tremolo produced by the dynamic vibrato is another charm characteristic of the Mustang. The tension typical of a short scale makes it easy to fret, making this a great choice even for players with smaller hands.
There is a small dent on the side of the body and a crack in the finish on the body near the neck pocket on the 6th string side, but the pickguard film is still intact, and the guitar is in excellent condition with minimal wear.
