USED Gibson / ES-335 Dot Plain Cherry 2011 [10]

This 2011 Memphis Factory model features a classic 335-style plain top, the coveted cherry finish, and dot position marks!

The body is laminated maple with a maple center block. The neck is mahogany, and the fingerboard is rosewood. It features a vintage-style plain-top maple finish, Grover tuners, and dot position marks. It is equipped with a '57 Classic' pickup, which delivers the rich sound typical of a factory-built guitar.

The pickguard has fine picking scratches overall, and there are tiny dents scattered around the outer edge of the body top. There are scuff marks around the selector switch and knobs, and fine weather cracks are present on the bridge and tailpiece anchor.The lower right side of the body has scuff marks and impact marks, and there are minor scuff marks and impact marks on other parts of the sides. There is a buckle mark on the left side of the body back, and there is paint reaction from the case lining on the upper part. There is a rice-grain-sized chip in the binding on the lower edge of the body back end caused by an impact. There are other scuff marks and linear scratches on the body back, but they are not very noticeable and can only be seen when held up to the light.There is a rice-grain-sized dent on the back of the neck near the 4th string at the 5th fret. There are paint gaps around the headstock, the inlays, and the neck binding. The plating on the hardware has some tarnish.

The neck condition is generally sound, and there is sufficient play in the truss rod for both tightening and loosening. There are no noticeable string marks on the frets, and approximately 80% of the original frets remain. The current string action is set to approximately 2.0 mm on the 6th string at the 12th fret and approximately 1.5 mm on the 1st string.

Overall, while the body back shows signs of use and there are paint gaps around the neck, the top—the face of the guitar—shows no noticeable wear.Unlike current models, this one is equipped with a rich "57 Classic" pickup, which delivers a full, resonant tone and excels at producing a jazzy, stylish sound! Although manufactured at the Memphis factory, this model was produced during a period when it was categorized as a Custom Shop instrument; the "Gibson Custom" logo can be seen on both the hard case and the certificate of authenticity, giving you a sense of getting a great deal!
