The ST57 MOD 2-Tone Sunburst has arrived!
Y.O.S. Guitars, which has been making waves in recent years with its original guitars and effects pedals, has finally unveiled and released the “STP90 Pickup.”
This groundbreaking and innovative pickup reduces the P-90 to a single-coil size using proprietary parts; its sound is surprisingly rich and seems to faithfully reproduce the distinctive characteristics of a P-90 pickup.
When this pickup was installed, the basic assembly parts—including the knobs, pots, and selector switch—were also replaced, and aluminum foil shielding was applied inside the cavity. The work itself appears to have been performed by a professional; it does not give off the cheap feel often associated with Fender Japan-era assemblies, and the quality of this modification is such that it can confidently be called an upgrade.
Since it has been over 25 years since the guitar was manufactured, the body does show signs of age, such as scratches, scuffs, and dents, but because some of the plastic parts have been replaced, it remains in clean condition.
