Made in 1982. We are pleased to offer this PB62-98 Black, one of the first Fender Japan guitars to be stamped with the JV serial number!

The date on the neck is marked 9-18'82, confirming that it was made in 1982, the inaugural year of Fender Japan. The neck pocket on the body side is also marked with an "A" and both the body and neck are original. Alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard. The pegs are vintage type with reverse winding. Pickups are also equipped with USA vintage type. This is a gem made with concentrated attention to detail by Japanese craftsmen.

A sheet of shim paper for neck angle adjustment has been inserted in the neck pocket since the arrival. The neck is slightly high, so please play gently when picking the high position strongly. The body has some age-appropriate damage such as scratches, dings, and paint reactions, and the area around the neck has the same feeling of use. There is a faint sticker mark on the front of the body, but it has been polished relatively clean. The hardware shows some age-related deterioration such as rust, tarnish, and some plating corrosion, but there are no operational problems.

JV serial numbers have been rising in price year after year for both guitars and basses, and are expected to continue to rise in price in the future. Please experience the beginning of Fender Japan's history.

Neck condition is a little high, but currently no major problems.
Truss rod has a little bit of tightness left.
About 70% frets left.
String height on the 12th fret: 4th string: approx. 2.5mm, 1st string: approx. 2.0mm.

ネックに日付が記されており、9-18’82と書かれており、フェンダージャパン発足の1982年製であることが確認できます。 ボディ側のネックポケットにも「A」の刻印が施されており、ボディ、ネックともにオリジナルです。アルダーボディ、メイプルネック、ローズウッド指板。ペグは逆巻きのヴィンテージタイプを搭載しています。ピックアップもUSAヴィンテージタイプを搭載しております。 日本の職人のこだわりが凝縮されて作られた逸品です。

入荷時よりネックポケット内にはネック角度調整用のシム用紙が一枚挿し込まれております。ネックは若干ハイ起きで、ハイポジションを強くピッキングするとビリつく場合がございますので、優しく弾いてあげてください。ボディには拭き傷や打痕、塗装反応といった年代相応のダメージが入っており、ネック周辺も同様の使用感となっております。ボディ正面に薄っすらとステッカー跡がありますが、比較的キレイに磨かれております。ハードウェアには錆やくすみ、多少メッキ腐食といった経年劣化こそ見られますが、動作問題はございません。

JVシリアル個体はギター・ベース問わず年々高騰しており、今後も高騰していくことが予想されます。 フェンダージャパンの歴史の始まりをぜひ体感してください。

The items name with "USED" are used items, and comes as shown in the pictures so there may be marks of use. All items were tested by our store staff and we test each item one more time before shipping them out to make sure they are fully functional.

All items for sale on ISHIBASHI MUSIC are stock currently available from all of ISHIBASHI stores around Japan. So it might take a few days for shipping.

And there is a chance that they may sell out in our retail location beforehand.

In that case we will cancel the order and refund any payments received.
