Original Fender Jazz bass made in 1972.
Alder body with 3-tone sunburst finish and tortoiseshell pickguard for a classic look. The neck is made of maple with binding, and the rosewood fingerboard with block position marks truly symbolizes the specifications of the 70's Jazz Bass. The bridge is a barrel saddle specification, a characteristic of the period.

Compared to the Jazz basses of the 60s, the mounting position of the rear pickup has been shifted closer to the bridge, giving the early 70s model a tighter and more attacked sound. The neck grip is slightly thicker, producing a tone with a unique core thickness and presence. Especially when the rear pickup is used alone, the crisp and clear sound stands out, yet it is not flat and has depth and power. When mixed with the front pickup, the rich mid-low range and tight high range are well-balanced and intertwined, allowing you to enjoy a variety of expressive power that only a jazz bass can offer.

The paint is a top lacquer finish on a polyester base, which was unique to the period, and the lacquer layer has shrunk considerably over time. As a result, the entire body is covered with weather checks, and the paint has shrunk, lifted, and peeled off in some areas. This unique texture is the result of the aging process unique to jazz basses from the early 1970s, and gives them a one-of-a-kind presence.
In addition, the surface of the head also shows lacquer burns and weather checks, which is a strong characteristic of this age.
The strong luster of the new model is already gone, and the subdued texture accentuates the vintage-like character of the instrument.

It is in basically original condition and comes with original parts, although the pots and jacks have been replaced. The neck date stamp, serial number, and original pot date indicate that this guitar was made in 1972.
Metal parts are dull and rusted. Low frets.
The neck is slightly twisted and bent at the waist. The frets have been fretted and are within the acceptable range, although the fretboard is a little chattering when played hard with the current setup.
