One with a solid presence in a small body
The K.Yairi SR-2E is an easy-to-handle parlor-size model with rich sound and comfortable response. The combination of spruce top and mahogany produces a warm sound that is suitable for a wide range of playing styles, from playing to fingerstyle. With a built-in undersaddle pickup, this model is ready to go for live performances and recordings. The careful craftsmanship that can only be achieved with a Japanese-made instrument and the beautiful cherry sunburst looks also make this an attractive instrument.
Paint is peeling on the head top. There are also some minor scratches and dents.
The neck is slightly high, and although the neck has been set up including mortise and tenon adjustment, there is a part where the sound feels a little stuck when played with a strong touch at the high frets above the 12th fret.
This is not a problem in normal playing.
