USED YAMAHA / SG-12AS Vintage Yellow [11]

A reissue model of the SG-12A, produced in 1996 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Yamaha’s electric guitar lineup.
It is a rare 12-string model that inherits the distinctive body shape and design elements of the original model, which debuted in the 1960s.

The body is crafted from Japanese katsura wood, paired with a maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard. It features a medium scale length and reproduces the original model’s distinctive specifications, such as a zero fret and a custom tremolo unit.The pickup configuration features a unique design combining a single-coil pickup in the front with two single-coil pickups in the rear. Controls include Volume, Tone, and Balancer; the Balancer knob allows you to adjust the output balance between the bridge-side and neck-side coils within the rear pickup. This distinctive design lets you enjoy not only the chimey, expansive sound unique to a 12-string guitar but also the tonal variations created by the coil balance.
The rear pickup has been rewound.
Apart from a small dent on the body top, there are no noticeable scratches, and the guitar is in good overall condition.
There is a slight rise in the neck, making it difficult to lower the string action. However, there are currently no issues with playability.

Strings believed to be the original ones included with the guitar are included, but please note that it is unclear whether they are playable.
