This is a Heavy Relic model crafted by the Fender Custom Shop that recreates a 1951 Nocaster.

This 2018 “51 Nocaster Heavy Relic” features a Faded Nocaster Blonde finish. It combines a two-piece ash body with a flame AA quartersawn maple neck.

The neck features a 10/56 “V” shape, a 9.5-inch fingerboard radius, and 21 Sanko 6105 frets. With a nut width of approximately 42 mm, this guitar offers a vintage-inspired look while being designed with modern playability in mind.

It is equipped with a Hand-Wound Loaded '51 Nocaster Relic pickup, allowing you to enjoy the classic Nocaster sound produced by Fat '50s Tele wiring. The '51–'54-style bridge features brass saddles, and every detail—from the relic-finished tuners with vintage logos to the '51 Nocaster Relic pickguard—faithfully recreates the atmosphere of the early Nocaster.

The lacquer finish has been treated with a Heavy Relic process, giving it a well-worn look—complete with chipped paint, weather checking, and dents—as if it had been played for many years.

Additionally, the “TELECASTER” lettering has been removed from the headstock decal upon request, faithfully recreating the unique specifications of the Nocaster.

This guitar combines the Custom Shop’s signature material selection and craftsmanship with the overwhelming presence of the Heavy Relic treatment.
Since the relic finish was applied from the start, it is impossible to distinguish between scratches and damage that occurred later from normal use.
There are no noticeable issues with the neck, and it is in good playing condition.
