The metal front model "THE PORTRAIT Metal Front HISASHI Signature Model" is based on the model made by Tony Zemaitis in the 1990s, which is currently owned and used by HISASHI (GLAY). The body shape features a slightly wider upper bout and lower top arch, oversized arrowhead emblems, a short-stroke pickup selector switch, a scalloped nut, and a coil-tap mini-switch for each pickup, slant-mounted machine head.
The body back is made of carefully selected mahogany, and the body top is made of aluminum alloy with a three-dimensional carved decoration, which is a design characteristic of Zemaitis.
The combination of the highest quality wood materials available today, such as carefully selected top-quality mahogany, thin-finished neck, and high-grade ebony fingerboard, with Zemaitis' original aluminum alloy bridge and tailpiece, and pickup rings, makes this a model with a design that is uniquely Zemaitis. The Zemaitis metal-front tone is inherited from the original Zemaitis aluminum alloy bridge and tailpiece and pickup rings.
The 635mm scale is adopted, with medium size 24 frets.
It uses angle-type pickup rings and two metal-covered Lindy Freling pure P.A.F. pickups.
Controls are the well-known CTS pots, with each pickup volume and each pickup tone layout.
The pickup selector has a short-stroke 3-way toggle switch as well as a pickup coil-tap mini-switch and dummy mini-switch, and the tone capacitor uses an orange drop.
In addition, reliable Gotoh locking tuners are used to ensure tuning stability.
The bone nut is scalloped by hand, following the technique of Tony Zemaitis.

The instrument is in good condition with only minor scuffs and scratches.
The instrument has been maintained and cleaned at our repair center and is in good playability.
