Heavily aged ebony-top Murphy Lab 1958 Les Paul with an austere, fearless face.
1958 Les Paul by Murphy Lab, an aging division within the Custom Shop created by an artisan team led by vintage expert and aging pioneer Tom Murphy, who creates innovative aged products with new technology. This used 1958 Les Paul Reissue made in 2023 by Murphy Lab, the artisan team led by Murphy, was created within the Custom Shop as an innovative aged product using new technology.

Combined with the heavy aged hardware, it recreates the look and feel of the old, unique look and playability that was created on Gibson's Golden Era.

The neck shape is a 50s Rounded Medium C, which provides a stable playing feel for the player who grips the neck and produces a thick core sound.

Like the regular model since the 2019 update, it features an unpotted Custom Bucker PU, Luxe Bumblebee condenser and vintage curved POT.
The sound is very straightforward and clear with no clutter, and picks up picking nuances faithfully.
The overtones when distorted are also excellent, and will greatly stimulate the player.
There are scratches, dings, weather checks, peeling paint, and dull metal parts due to the heavy-aged finish, but there is little damage from use.
The strings have been replaced and cleaned, and playability is good.
