Inspired by the classic Urei 1176 compressor/limiter, the EMPRESS EFFECTS Compressor MKII is a more compact version of the classic Urei 1176 compressor/limiter.
The MKII features LED meters for input and gain reduction levels, independent attack and release controls, parallel compression with a mix knob, and an external sidechain, all in a pedal size that has only been found on high-end compressors for studio use. The MKII also features a "Tilt" tone EQ control and an adjustable sidechain high-pass filter on the comp detection circuit.

Compared to conventional compressor pedals, which are too colorful and change the sound too much, the MKII provides an overwhelmingly high level of sound creation in a simple and effective way. It offers complete control over musical expression and subtle touch, and superb control over the sound.
