This 1959 Les Paul Reissue is a 1959 Les Paul by Murphy Lab, an aging division within the Custom Shop created by an artisan team led by vintage expert and aging pioneer Tom Murphy to create innovative aged products using new technology. Reissue.

This 1959 Les Paul Reissue has an impressive ribbon curl wood grain that is perfectly aligned from center to edge, from top to end, and slightly upturned from center to left and right.

Aged finish with extremely natural weather checks and heavy aged hardware reproduces the look and feel of a guitar that has been played on tour and at gigs.

The body back and neck grip are finished in Gibson's traditional aniline-dye finish, with a slightly faded reddish-brown color that enhances the vintage look.
The neck shape is Authentic '59 Medium-C, with a slim, 59-like grip for great playability.

Like the regular model since the 2019 update, it features an unpotted Custom Bucker PU, Luxe Bumblebee condenser and vintage curved POT.
The sound is very straightforward and clear with no clutter and picks up picking nuances faithfully.

At 3.75 kg, it is a little light, but it has a sound with a lot of midrange overtones, which is essential for "crying guitars"!
It has been aged, but there is almost no damage from use and the condition is quite good. The strings have been replaced and cleaned, and of course the playability is excellent.
