USED YAMAHA / SG-12AS Vintage Yellow [12]

The YAMAHA SG-12AS has arrived!
The SG, YAMAHA’s iconic 1960s “bizarre” model.
This 12-string model was produced in 1996 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of its release.

Its distinctive body shape is a major draw, and it’s a popular model that has been reissued several times—beloved not only by GS fans but also by alternative rock guitarists.

The body is crafted from Japanese katsura wood.
It features a medium scale.

The parts have been meticulously recreated, ensuring excellent playability while delivering a sound that captures the atmosphere of the era.

The controls consist of Volume, Tone, and Balancer; the Balancer knob allows you to adjust the balance between the bridge-side and neck-side coils of the rear pickup.

Of course, you can fully enjoy the chimey tone of a 12-string guitar, so this model is highly recommended for fans of The Beatles and The Byrds.
The bridge pickup has been rewound.
There is a slight rise in the neck, making it difficult to lower the string action.
It comes with strings that appear to be the original ones that were included back then.
Please note that it is unclear whether these strings are still playable.

The exterior is in excellent condition, with minimal tarnish on the hardware, indicating that it was handled with care.

It has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and playability is excellent.
