USED MAXON / OD-808 Overdrive JRC4558D [12]

This is a vintage overdrive pedal from Maxon, known as the predecessor to the Ibanez TS-808.
Introduced in 1979, this is the original model of the 808 series overdrive, characterized by its warm overdrive tone and rich midrange.This unit is an early-production model built on an MP-D01201A circuit board and equipped with a glossy JRC4558D, featuring original parts from 1979 to 1980. It is a rare vintage 808-series unit that allows you to experience the sound that would later evolve into the world-renowned TS-808.
While it shows signs of wear commensurate with its age, it functions perfectly. The battery snap has been replaced. The exterior shows some scratches, paint peeling, and tarnish on the metal parts, but it remains in good condition for a vintage model.
