USED Paul Reed Smith (PRS) / CE24 Maple Top, 1992, Surf Green (Custom Color) [12]

A 1992 CE24 Maple Top has arrived.
Highly regarded even among professional guitarists, this 1992 CE24 Maple Top features a bolt-on neck. The year of manufacture was determined by the handwritten date on the neck end and the serial number on the joint plate.

This is an early-production model manufactured between 1988 and 2008. Compared to current CE models, it features a more three-dimensional arched top and a different depth of the recessed control panel, and the neck grip has a lacquer finish.

The front pickup appears to be the original Vintage Bass, but the rear pickup has been replaced with a U.S.-made Seymour Duncan 59 Model, and the escutcheon has also been replaced with a mirror-type one.

The tuners feature the Wing Lock mechanism characteristic of early PRS models, which locks the strings in place as you turn the tuners.

The body finish is distinctive, but since its official name is unknown, we’ve referred to it as “Surf Green” for convenience.
Although the texture of the finish suggests it has been refinished, based on the condition of the paint in the neck pocket, we have determined that this is the original finish.
There is a chip at the tip of the headstock, and the body has numerous scattered scratches and dents, with fine paint cracks covering the entire body.
While it shows signs of wear commensurate with its age, it has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and its playability is excellent.
One of the locks on the hard case is broken, but this does not significantly hinder storage or transport.
