The Ibanez BTB "Boutique Bass" is one of Ibanez's representative basses with a long history, just like the SR series.
The deep cutaway shape and through-neck construction provide excellent playability and sustain, while the choice of woods and independent bridge structure promise a rich tone and appearance that embody the Boutique name.

Through-neck construction for long sustain, rich resonance, and high rigidity
The 9pc neck is made of a combination of maple, bubinga, and hard panga-panga wood for a clear sound image and high rigidity. The graphite inside the neck provides additional strength and rigidity.

889mm/35" extra long scale
The 35" scale produces a clear sound that does not get buried in ensembles and can be easily down-tuned.

Laminated wing body made of bubinga wood (top and back) and ash wood
The double-winged wing body, which sandwiches the neck, is made of laminated ash wood, which produces a clear, crisp and contoured sound, and bubinga wood, which tightens the low-frequency range, on both the top and back surfaces.
The deep cutaway style of the body contributes to the ease of playing in the high position.
The shape and design of the horns were also designed to ensure good balance when played standing up.

The Aguilar DCB pickups are characterized by their dynamic response, well-balanced overtones, and rich sustain.

MR5S (monorail) bridge with string-to-string pitch adjustment mechanism
Each string is independent of the other strings, and the vibration of the strings is transmitted directly to the body. The saddle is movable by ±1.5mm in the left/right direction, allowing the pitch between strings to be set freely within a certain range.

Active 3-band EQ with 3-pattern mid-band frequency switch and EQ bypass switch
Active 3-band EQ with 3-pattern mid-band frequency switch and EQ bypass switch. (powered by 006P alkaline batteries)
The mid-range frequency band, which is the key to the bass sound, can be switched between 250Hz, 450Hz, and 700Hz by toggling the switch.
The EQ bypass switch can also be used as a passive bass (when bypassed: Treble, Treble, Treble, Treble, and Treble). (When bypassed, the Treble knob controls the tone.)

Zero fretting for accurate intonation and minimal difference between open/pressed string sounds.
