With this concept, j.custom is Ibanez's top-of-the-line electric guitars manufactured in our workshop in Japan to meet the diversifying styles, tastes, and demands of guitarists at a high level.

〜Features
RG j.custom Super Wizard AS" asymmetrical neck shape 5pc maple/wenge wood neck
The neck is a 5pc combination of maple and wenge wood, which is designed for natural sound with full consideration of strength.
Asymmetrical neck shape based on the ultra-thin SuperWizard shape, which was designed for ease of playability and thinness.
The neck thickness of 17mm at the nut and 19mm at the 12th fret is retained, while the shape is rounded toward the bass string side (6th string side) to provide a more secure fulcrum for the thumb and to enhance playability for technical techniques such as wide stretching and sweeping with the left hand.
The neck and back have a "Velvetouch" finish that feels as comfortable in the hand as a guitar that has been played for years.

Macassar Ebony fingerboard
The Makassar Ebony fingerboard is characterized by its hardness and excellent responsiveness, as well as its vertical stripes.

Flamed maple top (4mm) and alder body
Alder wood, characterized by its well-balanced bright tonal characteristics and rich sustain, is laminated with AAA grade flame maple wood.

Deep and beveled lower horn scoop body back
The cutaway on the treble string side (1st string side) of the body back is deeply scooped to enhance playability in the high position.

Chambered Body
The body is chambered, which is a little bit lighter than the original design, but without sacrificing the acoustic characteristics of the wood. In order to meet the needs of players, we have drilled several 3cm holes on the front side of the body.
Although it is only a small amount, it is certainly a device that leads to weight reduction.

DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary / True Velvet / The Tone Zone pickups
Seeking a natural tone, we have selected the PAF 36th Anniversary for a low-power, warm and sweet tone in the neck position, the True Velvet for a bright and noiseless sound in the middle position, and the DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary / True Velvet / The Tone Zone pickups for a balanced output from high to low frequencies in the bridge position. The Tone Zone is a covered instrument that delivers a powerful and well-balanced tone from high to low frequencies.
