~MDM Key Features~
MDM (Mode Modern) 24-fret specification
This is the most distinctive feature of the MDM model, designed as a truly versatile bass that accommodates various genres and adapts to all playing styles.

MDM-Exclusive C-Shaped Neck
This C-shaped neck, exclusive to the MDM, is compact yet features a substantial, rounded neck back and a smooth fingerboard edge for a comfortable grip.
We use roasted maple, which undergoes a heat treatment to homogenize the material while enhancing stability, water resistance, weather resistance, and durability against warping.
Stainless steel frets have been selected, as they have become an essential element in recent trends.

MDM Original Body Shape
This original shape is optimized for MDM, designed with a 24-fret configuration in mind.
It was designed with smooth access to the high fret range in mind, as well as a comfortable outer contour for both standing and seated playing, contouring that improves the fit against the body, and excellent body balance.

Super All-Access Neck Joint
To enhance playability in the high fret range and enable stress-free fingering, the joint area has been recessed by one step, and the edges have been rounded significantly.
The joint is designed with a wide contact area to allow the player to feel the vibrations of the neck and body as a single, unified unit.

Delta S5J Pickup
This pickup embodies the essence of Ibanez while maintaining its iconic size and appearance.
Black-plated stainless steel pole pieces and neodymium magnets create an aggressive yet balanced tone.
Additionally, the hum-canceling structure eliminates noise, delivering a powerful sound that supports ensemble playing.

~Common Specifications for the MDM#1000 Series~
Alder body
We’ve selected alder—a popular choice for bass bodies—for its balanced tone characteristics with no harshness across the low to high frequencies.

Rosewood Fretboard
We chose rosewood for the fretboard, known for its quick attack, rich sustain, and warm tone.

Transparent Pickguard
The pickguard protects the body’s finish and also serves as a playing aid depending on your technique.
The MDM1000 model features a clear pickguard that showcases the body color in its natural state.

Aero-light Machine Heads
These robust yet lightweight machine heads are made from ultra-duplex duralumin, which combines excellent strength with lightness.
These original Ibanez parts prevent so-called "headstock drop" while delivering smooth operation and high tuning accuracy.
Note: Please wind the strings all the way to the bottom of the post before use.

MR5S Mono-rail Bridge
The MR5S (Mono-rail) bridge features a string spacing adjustment mechanism. Each string is independent, allowing the vibration of each string to be transmitted directly to the body.
Additionally, since the saddles can be moved ±1.5mm to the left and right, the string spacing can be adjusted as desired within the range of motion.

Luminescent side dot inlays
Features phosphorescent side dot position markers on the fingerboard.

Ibanez SonitechS Preamp 3-band EQ with HexaMid System
The "Sonitech" preamp features a 3-band EQ, volume, and pickup balancer controls designed for extensive control, as well as a master tone control that adjusts the overall character of the sound regardless of whether the EQ is on or bypassed.
Furthermore, a mini-switch on the body top allows you to select from three different peak frequency bands for the Mid control.
These three peak frequency bands are determined by the "H" or "L" DIP switches located on the control cavity panel on the back of the body; in other words, the Mid control knob allows you to choose from a total of six peak frequency bands to shape your sound.
