Tim Henson’s new signature model, the “TOD20FMN,” featuring a flamed maple top!!
This is the new model from Tim Henson, guitarist for Polyphia—a band that continues to lead the guitar instrumental genre.

~Features~
A new model featuring a flamed maple top finished in a see-through color

FR-shaped hollow body (with fan bracing) equipped with a side port
Based on Ibanez’s original “FR” single-cut shape, this hollow-body guitar features a fan bracing pattern—common in classical guitars—on the top and is approximately 50 mm thick.
Although there is no soundhole on the front of the body, a sound port is located on the side of the body facing the player.
The design offers a playing feel very similar to that of an electric guitar, while making it easy to experience a natural nylon-string sound.

46mm-wide nut / 400mmR fingerboard
The nut width falls between that of a standard classical guitar and an electric guitar, and the fingerboard features a 400mm radius.
With the playing style of electric guitarists like Tim in mind, we’ve adopted specifications that set this model apart from classic guitars to ensure smooth fingering.
Furthermore, as an instrument that pioneers the new category of “nylon-string electric guitars,” it features a slightly lower string action setting (compared to a standard classical guitar) that doesn’t shy away from even a bit of buzzing.

“Tree of Death” Fretboard Inlay
The name and design—which seem to complement Ibanez’s iconic fingerboard inlays—are special features that symbolize the TOD model, brought to life through Tim’s own vision.

Fishman Sonicore Pickups & Ibanez AEQ210TF Preamp w/ Onboard Tuner
The guitar features Fishman S-CORE pickups, which faithfully amplify the acoustic sound.
The onboard tuner is the Ibanez AEQ-210TF preamp, equipped with a 2-band equalizer. (Powered by a 9V alkaline battery)

Sapele Body Sides & Back
Sapele wood, which features an appearance and sound similar to mahogany and is rich in warm mid-to-low frequencies, is used for the body’s sides and back.
