The Murphy Lab Collection brings together years of aging technology, light weather checks, and light aged hardware to recreate the condition that has been carefully stored in a case.

This is a Gibson Custom Shop Murphy Lab 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Ultra Light Aged. This model has a lacquer process that replicates the natural weather check as well as vintage, and is finished in "Ultra Light Aged," the most conservative of the four available aged levels, with unpotted Custom Bucker pickups and Luxe Bumblebee condensers, and vintage curved pots.

This model has an eye-catching gold color with brass powder mixed into the finish, carefully selected wood materials, and a stately look at a total of 3.97kg, and boasts an unprecedented level of perfection that could almost be mistaken for vintage.

It has been set up (cleaning, string replacement, rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, and fret adjustment) upon arrival, and a brass washer has been added because the truss rod was at the limit of its tightening direction. The fret board is high enough to play well, and the truss rod has been checked to 60 degrees to the left and right.
