The Fender USA Highway One Stratocaster initial model is a cost-effective American-made Stratocaster that was introduced in 2002. This model offers a good balance of modern playability and traditional tone, making it a reliable model for live and studio use.
This model combines an alder body with a low gloss satin acrylic lacquer finish and a comfortable modern "C" shaped maple neck. Three vintage-style single-coil pickups (Alnico III) provide the Strat's sparkling highs and clean, transparent tone, while a pair of Greasebucket tone pickups (Alnico II, Alnico III, and Alnico III) provide the guitarist with the clarity of a Strat.
This model was made before the Greasebucket tone circuit was introduced, and features a simpler, more straightforward sound. This is a perfect choice for players seeking a pure USA Strat sound.
Overall fading is seen mainly on the top.
There is one noticeable paint peeling on the body side.
There are also some minor paint chips due to the originally thin paint.
There are scratches, dents, and dull parts, but there is nothing wrong with the neck and there are no problems with playing.
