The ever-popular 1988 American Vintage Series '57 Stratocaster is now in stock!
This 1988 American Vintage Series '57 Stratocaster retains the feel of the good old days while being built with the precision of modern technology—as determined by the markings on the neck end.
This guitar was manufactured during a highly sought-after period—the early production phase at the Corona factory following the closure of the Fullerton factory.

It faithfully reproduces the original specifications of the era, featuring an alder body, a 7.25" radius fingerboard, and a one-piece maple neck with a soft V-shape.

All pots have been replaced, and the capacitors have been swapped out for Orange Drop units; however, the pickups feature black bobbins and cross-wound coils, so they are likely original.
The guitar is equipped with a 5-way pickup selector that was included as a replacement part; however, the original 3-way selector that came with the guitar is missing.
There are signs of paint reaction on the back of the body caused by the lining of a hard case, and red and yellow paint is present on the body end.
Overall, there are numerous scattered scratches and dents, and the hardware shows signs of tarnish.
There is a small chip in the finish at the neck joint on the G-string side, and the finish shows general yellowing due to age.
Although the finish is original, it appears the parts were assembled before the paint had fully dried, resulting in raised areas of paint around the joint plate and back panel.
Although it shows some signs of use, it has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center—including the replacement of the strap pins—and is in good playing condition.
The original hard case and tremolo arm are missing; a recent Fender gig case is included.
