PRSの人気シリーズに新たなフィーチャー・セットで登場したMcCarty 594 Hollowbody II。フルホロウ構造のHollowbody IIは、ウォームでウッディなトーンの鳴りが特徴です。その他のディテールは、このシリーズならではのビンテージ・テイスト溢れるMccarty 594から引き継いでいます。58/15 LTピックアップは、TCI(チューンド・キャパシタンス・アンド・インダクタンス)プロセスを経たものを採用し、よりクリアで音楽的なトーンが得られつつ、2ボリューム＋プッシュ/プル・トーン・コントロールで多彩なサウンドが楽しめます。亜鉛合金製2ピース・ブリッジ、ビンテージスタイルのチューナーは、このモデルの特徴であり、同時にMccartyファミリーである証しにもなっています。

1980年代後半、Paul Reed SmithはTed McCartyにギターの設計と製造テクニックのコンサルタントを依頼しました。McCartyはメンターとしてだけでなく、PaulをはじめPRSで会ったすべてのスタッフの大切な友達となりました。1994年、Tedから吸収したテクニックと知識、さらにTed自身のギター・ビルダーとしての経験を惜しみなく投入した最初のMcCartyをリリースしました。
個体の説明
Hollowbody IIと違う点は、ブリッジにはTwo-Piece Bridgeを搭載し、ネックシェイプはMcCarty 594同様の「Pattern Vintage」、コイルタップ搭載、指板のバインディングを施しており、オーソドックスなルックスです。
スケールは標準の24.594インチ、弦は.010-.046でのセットアップになります。
ピックアップにはTCI(チューンド・キャパシタンス&インダクタンス)のプロセスを経て、明瞭さと中音域に焦点を当てたヴィンテージスタイルのピックアップ58/15 LTを搭載。
これ以上ないほどのクリアなトーン、豊かなミッドレンジ、ビンテージ・キャラクターを備えたサウンドです。
杢目もサウンドも最高で、構造上当然と言えば当然かもしれませんが非常に軽量である事も魅力です。
サウンドの柔らかさは別格で、主にクリーンを多様するジャズ・フュージョンなどの音楽では重宝されているモデルです。
2024年モデルからはペグ・ボタンのアップデートが行われ、12フレットのバード・インレイに用いられているクーパーズホークを模したデザインのウイング・ペグを採用。
このウイング・ペグは1982年当時にポールがデザインしていたものを元に再現され、旧仕様のメタルペグに比べて軽量化されたことにより、中音域やサスティーンの減衰を抑え、より長いロングトーンと更なる音楽的なサウンドを実現します。

The McCarty 594 Hollowbody II is a new feature set in the popular PRS series, featuring a full hollowbody construction for a warm, woody tone. The 58/15 LT pickups have undergone the TCI (tuned capacitance and inductance) process for a clearer, more musical tone. Two volume + push/pull tone controls provide a variety of tones. A two-piece zinc alloy bridge and vintage-style tuners are the hallmarks of this model, while at the same time signifying that it is a member of the Mccarty family.
Whether you are looking for a rich, "this is humbucking" tone or a nuanced, sweet single-coil sound, the McCarty 594 Hollowbody II will satisfy. Other specs include a bound 22-fret, 24.594" scale Pattern Vintage neck, rosewood fingerboard, and PRS bird inlays.

In the late 1980s, Paul Reed Smith asked Ted McCarty to consult on guitar design and manufacturing techniques. In 1994, Ted released the first McCarty, a product of the techniques and knowledge he had absorbed from McCarty, as well as Ted's own experience as a guitar builder.
Individual Description
The Hollowbody II differs from the Hollowbody II in that it has a Two-Piece Bridge, a "Pattern Vintage" neck shape similar to the McCarty 594, coil taps on board, and binding on the fingerboard for an orthodox look.
The scale is a standard 24.594" and the strings are set up in .010-.046.
The pickups are vintage-style 58/15 LT pickups that have gone through the TCI (tuned capacitance & inductance) process and focus on clarity and midrange.
The tone couldn't be clearer, with a rich midrange and vintage character.
The wood grain and sound are top notch, and it is also very lightweight, which is perhaps not surprising given its construction.
The softness of the sound is exceptional, and this model is very useful for jazz and fusion music, which mainly uses clean tones.
Starting with the 2024 model, the peg buttons have been updated, and wing pegs designed to resemble the Cooper's Hawk used in the bird inlays at the 12th fret have been adopted.
The wing pegs are based on Paul's design from 1982, and are lighter than the old-spec metal pegs, which reduces midrange and sustain decay for a longer, longer tone and an even more musical sound.
