S2 Series
S2 stands for "Stevensville 2.
When this series was developed, we thought it should be marketed as a separate series from the CORE line, so we set up an independent production line (2nd Line) in our Maryland workshop (Stevensville), hence the series name.
The name "2nd Line" was derived from the fact that a separate production line (2nd Line) was set up in the Maryland workshop (Stevensville). The name was derived from the simplification of the body shape, centralization of neck scales and shapes, introduction of a new finishing process, and the use of newly developed hardware in combination with that for the CORE line to achieve greater efficiency in the body and options.

The S2 Custom 24-08 shares many features with the base S2 Custom 24, including a maple top, mahogany back and neck, 24 frets, 25" scale, patterned thin neck, and rosewood fingerboard with bird inlays. It shares many similarities with the base S2 Custom 24, including a 25" scale, patterned thin neck, and rosewood fretboard with bird inlays.

Try the S2 Custom 24-08 with its USA (Maryland) TCI pickups, 3-way toggle switch, and two mini-toggle switches for coil-tapping the humbuckers and switching to single coils for intuitive operation.

This is the 10th year since the S2 series was launched, and the new updates include USA (Maryland) made pickups and electronics as standard equipment. PRS believes that this update brings special value to the S2 Series and further strengthens the attractive product lineup.
