S2 Series
S2 stands for "Stevensville 2".
When this series was developed, we thought it should be marketed as a separate series from the CORE line, so we set up an independent production line (2nd Line) in our Maryland workshop (Stevensville), which is why we named this series S2.

The name "2nd Line" was derived from the fact that a separate production line (2nd Line) was set up in the Maryland workshop (Stevensville). The name was derived from the simplification of the body shape, centralization of neck scales and shapes, introduction of a new finishing process, and the use of newly developed hardware in combination with that for the CORE line to achieve greater efficiency in the body and options.

The S2 Custom 24 follows in the footsteps of PRS's flagship Custom 24 model, stripped down to the bare essentials while maintaining a beautifully sculpted design. The classic maple top/mahogany back combination of yesteryear is retained, while the classic body shape and asymmetrical beveled top produce a powerful sound.
The combination of USA-made 85/15 pickups and 5-way braid switch produces a variety of sounds, just like the flagship Custom 24.

The S2 series is familiar to PRS players of the past, but new players will find it fresh and new, and it is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of players in a wide variety of genres.

The S2 series has been on the market for 10 years, and the new updates include pickups and electronics made in the USA (Maryland) as standard equipment. PRS believes that this update brings special value to the S2 Series and further strengthens the attractive product lineup.

The S2 series also features a high-gloss nitro (all lacquer) coating, which is of the same quality as the Core model.
PRS is so expensive that many people may not be able to afford it, but the S2 series allows you to enjoy the USA sound at a relatively affordable price.
