USED FENDER / 1974 Stratocaster Black [03]

Fender Stratocaster made in 1974 is in stock!

This is one of the coolest 70's Stratocaster with a large head with Bullet nut, 3 point joint, and original black finish.
The body is made of ash, judging from the wood joints.

All pickups are original gray bobbin with staggered polepiece.
Pickup dates are all 74's with the last 74. Neck date is 0903-xxxxx (0903 is Strat/Maple).
The end is gone and cannot be identified, but we judge it to be original from the neck burn, paint, and age.
The selector is also original 3-way specification.

The replacement points are the frets, nut, 4th string peg, Tone 2 pot, and selector knob.
Many of the pieces of this age are difficult to play due to the fret loss, but this model has been refretted and re-nutted, so it is very easy to play. The fingerboard was also painted when the frets were replaced, so the texture has not been lost.
The 4th string peg has been replaced with an F-key from the same era, which matches the original parts so well that it is difficult to tell the difference.
Tone 2 pots have been replaced with '79 ones, but it is possible that they were repaired at the factory at that time, judging from the condition of the solder.

There are scratches, dents, metal parts are dull, rusty, and paint is peeling off.
* Arm is missing.

The sound with a sense of edge, which is typical of 70's Strat, can be used for a wide range of applications from funk to hard rock!
The refretted finish makes this guitar highly playable and ready for immediate use!
