The Custom 24 is synonymous with PRS, and has always been the heart of the PRS lineup since its introduction at Winter NAMM in 1985.

The Custom 24-08 features the same core Custom 24 specs: maple top, mahogany back and neck, 24 frets, 25" scale, Gen III tremolo unit of original PRS design, and Phase III tuners with newly designed wing buttons. The TCI pickups and EQ mini-toggle switch allow for eight different sound-making options.

The TCI pickups have a humbucker construction, yet produce a fat, sparkling sound reminiscent of single coils and soapbars. In addition, when the EQ mini-toggle switch is turned on (top position), a high-pass filter functions, shelving the lower frequencies and creating a clearer, more musical tone in the upper registers.

Custom 24はPRSの代名詞とも呼ばれ、1985年のWinter NAMMで発表されて以来、常にPRSの中心となってきたモデルです。

このCustom 24-08は、メイプル・トップ、マホガニー・バック&ネック、24フレット、25インチ・スケール、PRSオリジナル・デザインのGen IIIトレモロ・ユニット、そして新デザインのウィング・ボタン付きPhase IIIチューナーといった、Custom 24の根幹となるスペックを継承しつつ、TCIピックアップとEQミニ・トグル・スイッチにより、8種類の多彩なサウンド・メイキングが可能となりました。

TCIピックアップはハムバッカー構造を持ちながら、シングルコイルやソープバーを彷彿とさせる太さと煌びやかさを兼ね備えたサウンドを生み出します。また、EQミニ・トグル・スイッチをオン(上のポジション)にすると、ハイパス・フィルターが機能し、低音域がシェルビングされることで、高音域がよりクリアで音楽的なトーンを創出します。
