USED GIBSON / J-45 DELUXE 1976 [03]

A J-45 with lots of GIBSON atmosphere is now in stock.
Based on the serial number, this one was made in 1976, and the engraving on the back of the head reads "J-45/50," "MADE IN USA," and the serial number. Spruce top, mahogany sides and back, 3-piece mahogany neck. The body has a square shoulder and double X bracing.
As a product name at that time, the J-45 regular product was named "J-45 DELUXE". Although it is vintage, it is in good condition for many more years of use in the future.
The large tortoiseshell pickguard and tortoiseshell-patterned cell binding are reminiscent of the period. The fingerboard and bridge are Indian rosewood.

The cell binding has deteriorated with age, and there are some white discoloration and cracks in places. The side joints of the large head have groove-like lines due to age-related deterioration. The pegs and saddle have been replaced.
There is a crack from the bottom right of the soundhole, along the pickguard, and up to the bridge. There is also a crack on the top of the soundhole on the extension of this crack. The lower part of the soundhole has been patched from the inside.
The neck is slightly twisted, if one looks strictly at the neck. There is a mark on the back of the heel at the neck joint where a strap pin was removed.
String height is approximately 2.5mm at the 12th fret of the 6th string and 2.0mm at the 12th fret of the 1st string. The truss rod has about 90 degrees of leeway in the tightening direction.
The square shoulder and double X bracing give it a strong and powerful sound with a strong sense of attack.
