The Montana Gold is a high-grade model with a super jumbo body that boasts an overwhelming presence, sound, and superb beauty.
The meticulous construction and luxurious specifications of the Custom Shop are truly a gem worthy of a "lifetime" guitar.
The top is made of Sitka spruce, and the back and sides are made of quilted maple. The grain of the wood is truly magnificent, changing its expression depending on the angle of illumination.
The fingerboard and bridge are made of ebony, and the pickguard with wheat inlay and the head and fingerboard decorations in mother-of-pearl are beautifully finished.
Combined with the antique natural finish of nitrocellulose lacquer, it has a very high class appearance.
Luxurious use of beautifully grained and sound-selected wood produces a bright, exiting tone with very good treble grain. Even with fingerpicking and arpeggios, each note sounds clear without being buried in the sound.
This guitar is one of Gibson's best guitars in terms of tone, playability, and ornamentation.

Some of the bridge pins have broken tips. There is no problem with string retention. The truss rod has about 60 degrees of leeway. There is a black spot on the upper right side of the back that looks like a stain. There are other minor scratches and dings throughout. The maple bridge plate has been repaired by gluing a crack between the strings.
String height is approximately 2.5mm at the 12th fret of the 6th string and 2.0mm at the 12th fret of the 1st string.
A genuine hard case is included.
