Revival of "FG-180" and "FG Red Label
The "sound", "design", and "durability" were the key points of the FG, and the project started in the U.S.A. The modern masterpiece was born "again" from this project.

The Yamaha sound, with its "boom" in the bass and sweet extension in the treble.
To achieve this, A.R.E. and scientific design methods were adopted.
* A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement)
An aging-like treatment on the Sitka spruce used for the front board.
A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement): A process that modifies the quality of new wood to make it look like vintage wood.
* A method of designing bracing patterns, etc., based on computer simulations of the characteristics of guitars called "masterpieces" based on research data.

Among the RED LABEL series, "FG" including this FG5 is a combination of "Dreadnought (Western) shape body" and "Medium scale".
The position is exquisite, different from M's D/OOO/OM and G's round shoulder.
It will be an irreplaceable instrument for guitarists who are in the right spot.
