USED FENDER JAPAN / JB62-60 Vintage White [03]

New Fender Japan made by Fujigen in 1988!

Based on the "Made in Japan" marking, the serial number, the notation "87" on the pot, and the neck date indicating the year 1988, we have determined that this guitar was made in the last period of the E-serial. Generally, the "Made in Japan" label and the E serial number alone would indicate that the guitar was made between 1984 and 1987, but the neck date indicates that the neck was made later, in 1988, after the body was made and the neck was made later.

The slab-applied rosewood fingerboard and the ground wire under the rear PU are modeled after the 1962 Jazz Bass. The "JB62" is one of the most popular Japanese Fender models along with the "JB75" also made by Fender Japan.
This model is a Vintage White color, which is rarely seen in this age. The pots have been re-soldered, but there is no sign of replacement. We judged that the wiring material was probably replaced. Also, the PU is wrapped with what appears to be conductive tape as a noise suppression measure. This is a common feature on Fender Japan guitars of this period.

The sound is the middle of Jazz Bass. The sound is right in the middle of a classic Jazz Bass, with a solid Japanese midrange and a crisp treble that is highly versatile.
The neck is in excellent condition and is so straight that it is hard to believe that about 40 years have passed since its manufacture. The truss rod is in good working order, and there is nothing to complain about in terms of playability. The nut may have been replaced due to the condition of the dirt.

There are some signs of use, such as tarnished parts, rust, and various dents of various sizes scattered throughout the instrument. However, there is no doubt that this is a piece that can be used immediately.
